Post Graduate Diploma from the Research Institute for Languages and Cultures in Asia, Mahidol University

This university course is a remarkable opportunity to deepen your practice and expand your knowledge in the field of traditional Yoga and Ayurveda. Both sciences combined give great insight into the wide field of holistic health for today’s world.

Nowadays, Yoga is often misunderstood as a form of exercise, however the true essence of Yoga is far beyond the physical realm: Developed more than 5000 years ago, Yoga was a path of liberation and self-realization. Through Asana (Yoga postures), Pranayama (Yogic breathing techniques), Mudra (Yogic gestures), Bandha (Yogic locks), Satkarma (Yogic detox techniques) and different meditation techniques, ancient Yogis sought to understand the self and the Universe. Around the same time, they developed and practiced Ayurveda, the Science of Life.

Ayurveda is a system of holistic medicine that works to create health, balance, and longevity through diet, natural herbs, and a wholesome lifestyle. Its principles are based on the theory of the five elements and three body constitutions (Doshas). In the 21st century, people are turning toward a holistic approach to well-being. The sister sciences of Yoga and Ayurveda are the right choice in this era: They detox and balance both body and mind, establishing overall health and happiness.

This post-graduate diploma is the only academic course in the world today which combines the traditional practices of Yoga and Ayurveda. It lays the foundation for anyone seeking a career in the field of health and wellness – in hospitality, fitness, yoga, or academics. After successful completion of the course, one is fit to work as a Yoga Therapist and Teacher, Meditation Teacher, Detox Trainer, Ayurvedic Practitioner, Wellness Consultant, etc.

This course is suitable both for experienced practitioners and those who are new to Yoga and Ayurveda. The lectures are taught by experienced professors working in different universities and colleges of Yoga and Ayurveda in India. The program is headed by course coordinator and visiting professor Dr.Adrish Brahmadatta.
