Why unblock and activate the Central Channel?

The Central Channel (sushumna-nadi) is the psycho-energetic axis of one’s personality. It is the core of the subtle body and represent the axis of one’s experiences.

Our essence-nature is said to dwell within the Central Channel. It is associated with spiritual energy, or energy of awareness in its primordial state – neither solar, nor lunar, neither stimulating nor cooling, neither masculine nor feminine. When the Central Channel is open, we are able to experience our innermost Self and find lasting peace and happiness, which is why bringing awareness to the Central Channel, activating and opening it is one of the most important, foundational practices in most systems of Yoga.

‘The central channel is in the core of one’s being. Imagine it as having a form of a slender lotus fiber and meditate on it as being the Goddess in the form of the innermost Space; through Her, God will manifest.”
Vijñāna-bhairava-tantra, 35

Meet your instructor

I’ve been exploring spirituality and Yoga since teenage. Foundational practices in many systems of Yoga involve so-called ‘Central Channel’ – the axis of one’s experience. Knowledge of the Central Channel and corresponding practices are crucial, so I really want to share some of them in this course.

During this 3-week class we will be meeting every third day for a live session, and after each of these sessions you will have two days for self-practice. Sign up, and let’s take a deep dive into real Yoga together!
